In order for us to provide you with the Invitation Document and an Application Form for the BotOptions Mini-Bonds, you must first confirm which one of the three categories of investors (summarised below) applies to you.
These three categories of investor have been formulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Each of the investor categories below (e.g. High Net Worth Investor) provide a 'plain English' description of the relevant investor category and also the formal description contained in the relevant confirmation, as prescribed by the FCA.
If you earn more than £100,000 a year or have net asset of more than £250,000, the High Net Worth Investor category is probably applicable to you.
If you have invested in more than one unlisted company in the last two year or been a member of a business angel syndacate or network for at least six months, the Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor category is probably applicable to you.
A Sophisticated Investor sometimes referred to as an 'Advised Investor' is someone that has an FCA regulated adviser, perhaps an Indipendent Financial Adviser (IFA), and will receive advice from them about each investment they make.
What type of investor are you?
